This blog was born for one reason: fitness apps are too impersonal. Sure, they'll track your reps and silently guilt you into lifting more weight and the good ones might even show you proper form, but none of them ask how you feel. How'd that workout go? Was it fun? Mind-numbingly boring? Did you like that lift? Were you tired at the end, or maybe not tired enough? How about the next morning -- sore?
These are the questions that, to me, are important for long-time fitness. And since the tiny scraps of paper I write myself reminding me that this move looks ridiculous or that particular workout is the most boring thing of all time always seem to go missing, I'm putting them down here instead. I'm not trying to start a fitness revolution and I'm no personal trainer, I'm just trying to keep track of what I like and what I don't. Attempting to mold years of fitness magazine subscriptions, a myriad of websites and a thing or two I've picked up along the way into something I truly enjoy doing, instead of something I do because I should. I don't expect anyone to join me, but if you're here, welcome!
